The Friday/Thursday... um... Ten.
Jul. 26th, 2007 06:34 pmRight. I forgot that I'm doing the Friday Five thing now. Um. So here's two weeks' worth, and this week is early to make up for the other being late. *beams*
For July 20th!
2. Have you ever made a s'more?
Probably not a full-fledged one, but I do on occasion melt marshmallows in the toaster oven and stick 'em on graham crackers.
3. Have you ever slept under the stars (no tent/tarp)?
Nope. I haven't been camping, either. :D
4. Have you ever had a member of the opposite sex sleep over at your house?
At my condo, yeah. He was hitching a ride to our hometown early the next morning and had a terrible roommate, so we took pity on him and smuggled him into the basement guestroom in direct defiance of our landlords' strict rules. Don't go telling anyone! :D
5. What type of bed do you have (queen, twin, bunk, etc.) ?
Teensiest tiniest little single bed you ever did see, both at my parents' place and here. I think it's because I have this strange urge to set up desks and bookshelves and things in my room, and so I wind up with little room for bed.
For July 27th ('scuse the wonky formatting, but I spent two hours last night/this morning trying to get an LJ-cut to work in this stupid rich text box, so I'm not even gonna try)
1. What item would you be embarrassed for people to know you own?
Uh. I dunno. Maybe my ginormous collection of Pokemon cards in my closet at my parents' place?
2. What is something you splurged on just for you?
My brand-new Hitchhiker's books! They're so purty.
3. What is something that you own with no real world value that is priceless to you?
I'm a packrat, so probably 90% of my stuff. I'll say my little beaded ring.
4. Do you collect anything?
Used to collect coins (Canadian), and, um, Pokemon cards. I'm a collector by nature - just at the moment, via the wonders of the internet and some probability-defying good luck, I'm working on a complete collection of the Eighth Doctor comic books. :D Gosh, I'm a geek.
5. What item belonging to a friend/family member do you covet?
Uh. I can't actually think of anything. Weird.
So there you have it!

Date: 2007-07-28 05:56 am (UTC)I was so hardcore.
Did I have Charizard? Of course I had Charizard. He was such a badass. The only one I *didn't* have was Blastouise. Damn Blastouise... *is bitter*Oh, me too. My younger cousin's friend got the newest game? So stole the thing and played it for a few hours. I would have been ashamed, but I was enjoying myself too much.

Date: 2007-07-28 06:17 am (UTC)I bought a really scuffed-up Blastouise from somebody at some point, but eventually managed to trade it up for a nicer one (remember my fast-talking skill thingie? I used it mercilessly in order to get myself better cards. Heehee).
Okay, now I want to pull out those cards next time I go home and see what I can see.
I actually ordered a few packs of Pokemon cards from Japan. Hardcore, thy name is me. Or, um, something. Those games are really freakin' addictive. I still remember the first time I beat the Elite Four...
*pauses*
Um. This is exactly why I love the Internet so much. UNEXPECTED GEEKINESS! :D

Date: 2007-07-28 06:48 am (UTC)Er. I mean I was completely normal! *flees*
See, this just proves my point again. I wanted to trade my *first addition Charizard* for my friend's (completely average) Blastouise. I argued with her for hours, and she *still* said no. *dies*
... We ordered stickers of the cards rather than actual cards... I'm pretty sure this makes me a wanna-be-dork...I was hardcore too! *shifty eyes*Dude, me too! I was so excited! I loved it when I figured out how to get Mewtwo...
It's just because we're awesome/geeky like that.
LONG LIVE GEERKERY!

And the Charizard? Yeah I did. *smug*
Me = envy of all of the geeks.
