My parents have offered their support if I want to find my own place next summer. Huzzah!

In other news, it's about time I went through all my writerly stuff again, to provide the usual excuses for the late projects - and to announce new ones! :D

Also just wanted to mention that I'm always interested in doing a little beta work! If you don't mind obnoxious nitpickery and the odd delay due to schoolwork, I'd be happy to look over anyone's stuff.

I'm also always on the lookout for more betas/brit-pickers who might be interested in helping out with any of my stuff (Sherlock Holmes in particular!). Thought I'd mention it to the f-list first: any takers? Even an advance read-through on a semi-regular basis would be extremely helpful: the more eyes on the fic, the merrier! And as mentioned earlier, I'd be more than happy to beta in return! :D

Long-Term Projects

Wanderer Fantasy (DW): I've wound up taking a bit of a step back from chapter four over the last week or so (partly due to the possibility of tying it in with a BFA - alas, doesn't look like that'll work out - and partly because of the lateness of the Anywhere but Cardiff ficathon entry), but I should be getting back into it and hope to have the third chapter posted shortly! This one is way too much fun to write - and I really hope to get a good pace going soon!

Untitled YOIT-sequel (DW): [livejournal.com profile] drox made me do it. *whistles innocently* This one's really up in the air at the moment, but I've started in on the research and it looks like it might just work out. Might. And it would, of course, be insanely fun and a good excuse to read the book several times! :D

Untitled Crossover O'Doom (DW/SH): [livejournal.com profile] scarletsherlock made me do it. What can I say? I'm highly suggestible. Brand-new project that's more SH than DW, involving a post-Hiatus revelation and all the wacky hijinks that ensue. Much more humorous than canonical, with an element of parody. Probably.

Untitled Script (DW): This is a weird little thing that I may or may not try to get done. I haven't done scriptwriting in ages, but I love it to death. Hm.

One-Shots

Eurydice (DW): My Anywhere but Cardiff ficathon entry. Already late, but I'm getting a good start on it!

Untitled Hiatus!fic (SH): Very dark and twisted, which probably means I'll be writing it on a sunny day, while munching on a big bag of candy, with a ridiculous grin on my face. Heehee.

I had/have more fics on the go, but these are the main ones at the moment. Classes start Wednesday! Once I've got a schedule going, things should start coming together.

Oh, and you can still request a drabble. Even you've got one already - these make for splendiferous plot-bunnies! :D

whoo-hoo! I inspired slightly cracked-out but awesome fic...yay! haha.

I'd be willing to help out with SH stuff, most definitely. The dreaded Real Life is slightly hectic until about September 17 or so with work stuff (we are having a book festival! yay!) but other than that I am free.

Ooh, huzzah! :D

I'm not particularly fussy about delays for beta-ness (after all, the tricky part is getting me to write anything). Thank you very much for the offer - I'll definitely be taking you up on it!

Also: book festival! That would be a prime opportunity to use my awesome Dewey Decimal bag that I stole from my Mom this weekend. Heehee!

Hey there, missy! I have better grammar than my entries might suggest. I got ridiculous scores on the SAT. Want to be my beta for my writings? I mainly dabble in Sherlock Holmes and Laurie R. King's Mary Russell series. I can beta for you in return, if you so wish.

I'm up for the mutual-beta thing! :D Alas, I haven't read King's series yet *ducks tossed rutabagas and other amusingly-named vegetables*, but the majority of my beta-work consists of policing the story's internal consistency and I think it'd be a really fun challenge to beta something I'm not necessarily familiar with!

...so long as you catch the mistakes I make. Like the missing word in the last sentence of this post. Argh. ;)

I'd love to beta your works, and it'd be great to have another SH beta to call on if need be! (And I should have another story out soonish!)

Okie dokie! Sounds great! I mostly need help with grammatical errors; I tend to be rather lazy when it comes to my Mary Russell stories. And, by the way, you should read them! You might like them! *throws you an ice cream cone instead*

Ice cream! Ooh, that's incentive.

A buddy of mine has all the books in his library (I am infinitely jealous of the fact that he even has a library, but that's beside the point) - I'll borrow them when I've finished the, uh, seven I stole from him the other day.

I'll take a look at your writing the first chance I get! I'm sure I've read it already, but it'd be nice to refresh my memory. :D
