So shiny! I liked that a lot. I was expecting it to be a sort of second pilot for the Moff era, given how much additional promotion has been going on Stateside this year, and it did feel a bit like that, in a good way. Love that we switched to River's POV, timeline-wise.

I honestly expected them to throw in a surprise regeneration there, because hey, it's his future, plenty of room for other adventures in between! But no, that would've been tricky. Now it comes down to who's in the spacesuit for when Eleven gets killed (willing to bet it's not the little girl). Eleven? River? Amy? Clearly it's Delenn wait, wrong surprise spacesuit-related moment in the wrong series.

Loved the baddies. Forgetting something as soon as you look away is scary as anything, so well done on that. The surprise!pregnancy thing was a bit goofily done, but there's a grand tradition of that in TV in general. (Since Amy's illness was pregnancy-induced, what was with River? Is the prison food that bad? Was it all just a red herring?)

River was fantastic. Amy and Rory were fun. Eleven was kinda weird, but he's always kinda weird, and I'm not sure if it's just that I haven't watched him in a while or what. Worked for me, though! Mark Sheppard was great (is he ever not?).

Mostly I just want next week's episode now.

YES.

I would say something more than that, but I'm still in the "incoherent flailing" stage.
