Doctor Who fans! Have you been hearing about the Big Finish full-cast audio dramas? Have you wanted to give them a shot? Well, today's the day for it! It's Big Finish day! The first fifty audios are on sale for £5 each, which amounts to about $10 including shipping for Americans, or $5 for a download. These are spectacularly high quality audios featuring the Fifth through Eighth Doctors and I love them like pie. calapine has an excellent recommendation post here that might help you get started. I hope this prompts more people to check out the audios - they're absolutely fantastic.

And one for folks in all fandoms: remember that Awesome Ladies Commentfic fest? Did you realize there's also a full-length fic fest associated with it? The deadline to sign up has been extended to the 9th, and you have until the 27th to produce a minimum of 1000 words about the female character(s) of your choice. Awesome!

And a DS9 fic rec: Misremembering the Alamo by loneraven (PG, gen), which was written for the lgbtfest and is a fantastic exploration of Ezri's character. Go read!

I has five of the BF audios (including Neverland and Zagreus - because darned if that last isn't a brilliant bargain!)

I recommend Murdoch Mysteries - I'm trying to oppress everyone into watching it (I've already persuaded my mum! LOL) - it's Canadian Victorian steampunk CSI.

I was going to buy some of the earlier BFs to give as gifts, but having to pay postage killed the deal for me. What can I say, my budget is currently too tight for me to want to pony up the extra expense. I had mistakenly thought the price was 5 pounds including postage. Oh, well. It's a good deal for people who have more money than I do.
