Mixing it up!
Mar. 28th, 2010 09:22 pmForgot to mention - it's remix time! Signups close on the 31st.
For anyone who hasn't been involved in one of these challenges before, they're a ton of fun - I've done this one over the last two years. If you qualify in at least one of the fandoms (info's all on the AO3 page I linked above), you get assigned someone in your specified fandoms, and you get a chance to write a remix of one of their fics. If you've ever read a fic and gone "Hey, that's a good idea... but I would've done it this way," this is the challenge for you. A really cool thing is that you can wind up writing in a fandom that you didn't necessarily sign up for - once you're assigned an author, you've got their entire repertoire at your disposal. I wrote M*A*S*H fic last year! It's an awesome way to try stepping outside your fannish comfort zones.
Also, I know some of my flisters are big on Sherlock Holmes, DS9, TOS, and West Wing, all of which are currently a little short on participants. Join the fun! (I will put in an extra-special plug for DS9, because I would love to see some more content in that particular fandom.)
