This is an incoherent flaily post about DS9 squee.

Last year, after I rewatched all of TOS and TNG for the first time in years and years, I decided I'd stop there and not go straight on to DS9. Why? Because I remembered loving the show but having a lot of it go over my six-year-old head, and I guessed that as soon as I started watching again, I'd be utterly hooked and would have to commit to watching the whole thing in a ridiculously short period of time.

Guess who just finally caved and watched the pilot? Oh yes. If anyone finds a means of administering seven seasons of television via IV, let me know.

Character development and plot and politics and Sisko and Odo and Kira and Miles and Jake and Quark and Bashir and Dax and did I mention Sisko, because Sisko ♥. The baseball speech! Linear existence. Oh, man.

Anyway, I know I've seen most of the first few seasons, but it's been long enough that I just get the odd jolt of déjà-vu, which is perfect, and now I must be careful to avoid spoilers when compiling trek_news, yes.

That's... all I wanted to say, really. \o/

YAY DEEP SPACE NINE LOVE! It is my favorite of all the Trek series. I would follow The Sisko anywhere.
