I- yes. I mean. Really. Yes. With the- And the- Um. Yes.

Oh, I love this show. I love it like a basket full of kittens and cookies and possibly other things.

I adore anything to do with little, everyday choices spinning way off - possibly because it makes it easy to be optimistic when you consider every moment an utter catastrophe averted, hurrah - and this just did that brilliantly. Things that never happened, like dreams, changing the universe. Of course, you can look at it the other way, which hardly anyone ever does, which is a shame. Turn right and the world becomes a better place than you ever thought possible - but that doesn't bear thinking too hard about.

(But GOSH DARN IT, the entire premise behind my Liz/Barbara fic is going to look like a total ripoff, now. Hee! Serves me right for not posting sooner.)

Speaking of ficly connections and stars going out and things, was I the only one who had "The Boy Who Killed Time" flashbacks? Yes? Is this a sign that I have spent too long in fandom, possibly? Yes?

Oh, man. When they mentioned Clyde and Maria's names on that news report, and the pictures of Sarah Jane. Oh, well-played. That was very nicely done.

Donna. She was just. Oh, my goodness. I adore Donna so, so much and want very much to write a ridiculously long and epic fic about her exciting adventures with the Doctor through time and space, and I love that feeling.

And Rose! A bit brilliant, a bit ruthless, a bit like- well, there was this fic once (shaddup, I don't spend too much time in fandom), and I would like to find it again because it portrayed her much like this, like seeing the Doctor without that Doctorish lens. I love that, and I think I'll love the related uproar in fandom, because that's the whole point, then, isn't it?

Bad Wolf, guys. I was spoiled for it, and I still got that adrenalin rush like in "Parting of the Ways". A bit like the "You can't always get what you want" in House. It worked.

(Anyone else overcome with the urge to write an AU (that term has special meaning in this fandom, hee) fic about UNIT's time machine failing and then Donna and Rose teaming up to save the world/universe in some other way?)

Maria and Clyde are alive now, yes? That's all I worried about.

Actually, I lie.

...haha, I still don't have very many specific reactions to share that don't appear in capslock and exclamation marks. I wish I could go outside and scream BAD WOLF, and I went outside (it's beautiful out O.o ), but the neighbours from three houses around were out too. Heh.

I half expected this to happen (they figured out how to reverse engineer a time machine!), but I don't care. In capslock. It feels good to be excited after an episode.

My only real complaint with this ep is that it felt a lot like a prequel to next week(s'), instead of something on its own. Ah well- if I ever rewatch, I'll rewatch the whole three in one go.

(ahh, my modem is returning an excessive session warning again...*sigh*)

No, though I wonder whether this will be more of a "The Girl Who Killed Time"—or, more accurately, "The TARDIS Who Killed Time."

as I the only one who had "The Boy Who Killed Time" flashbacks?

I didn't, that's a bit embarrassing, isn't it seeing as I wrote it. Although I couldn't agree more that fandom needs a big Donna & Rose world saving AU, or in fact, any Donna & Rose fic at all.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

I was not spoiled for anything, this time. The "there is something on your back"-thing has been haunting me ever since The Fires of Pompeii, though, and I just went OMG a lot. Especially not being spoiled, and all that. Yes, I went OMG OMG OMFG a lot. Especially at the end. "Whatdidshesay? Whatdidshesay? His name? Her name? Rose Tyler? WHAT? BAD WOLF? OMFG!!1!one!! WAAAAAAAAAH!!! WADDOESTHATMEAN???"

So um. Yes. Ignore me. :P

Wait, what? Liz/Barbara fic? Did I miss that?

I do believe that the description of "Doctor Who" as 'like a basket full of kittens and cookies and possibly other things' shall now become my default response when people ask me what that horrid 'woshing' noise is coming from.

I'm sure they'll think that these are some pretty radioactive kittens. It'll be awesome!

It was awesome and I was SUPER-FLAILING throughout most of it, but man, I have some nitpicks, too. Next week is going to break my brain into a million pieces.
