Because I haven't done one of these in a while, and I don't think it can possibly hurt, right? Can it?
Now that summer's on the horizon, and with it a teensy bit more flexibility in terms of timing and such, I'd love to start filling requests for various fics and such. I know several people have posted lately about the sort of fic they'd like to see in their favourite fandoms - now's your chance to get me to write 'em! I would be extremely happy to write in Doctor Who (any era), Man from U.N.C.L.E. (please?), Sapphire and Steel, and Sherlock Holmes fandoms, though you can push your luck and try something else to see if I'll go for it.
You know my style - I write gen, mostly, but am more than willing to dabble elsewhere if need be. Anything above PG-13 tends to come out a bit silly, though. Apart from that, anything goes!
(I also have a bad habit of twisting prompts to suit my own nefarious ends. Be forewarned.)
So here's my offer - give me a list of the sorts of fics you'd like to see, in whatever fandoms (as detailed as you like), and I shall do my utmost to work through the list in the coming months. I've still got a ton of fics left to write for 2008, so don't worry about loading me down with prompts!

Date: 2008-04-20 12:46 am (UTC)-There ought to be fic about an adventure that starts by taking the Doc's coat to the drycleaner—something about something going wrong while he's without it, something he accidentally leaves in the pockets, something. Because Doc/Coat = OTP. Any Doc, any coat, any companion along for the ride to bitch about it.
-Planet of Quarries
-While Sherlock is Great Hiatusing himself away in Switzerland drinking cocoa, Mycroft Holmes is—God and you alone know how—compelled to take a direct hand in some practical matter. Watson okay but not required.
All these intended as prompts/suggestions rather than demands, obviously. :)

Date: 2008-04-20 01:07 am (UTC)I would really love anything with Four and Romana (I, II, all good!) Shippy crack is good, but gen is fine, too.
Oh! And Four/Romana/K-9 is love! *puppy dog eyes* :D

Date: 2008-04-20 02:06 am (UTC)Any Who/Holmes crossover would make me very happy. There is not nearly enough of these fics out there. Not nearly.
Good luck, and thanks for taking some of these bunnies away from me!

Date: 2008-04-20 02:20 am (UTC)Also, I would like something with Silver/Steel subtext. Because I've just discovered that Silver is excellent, yes.

Date: 2008-04-20 08:24 pm (UTC)(so you should do the thinking for me). Also, you do awesome things with some characters fandom doesn't pay too much attention, like Liz and Susan and Vicki.I haven't watched Sapphire and Steel yet, but I will, and if there's fic waiting when I'm done, that'd be all kinds of great. *g*

Don't suppose you'll turn your hand to a bit of House fic?

Date: 2008-04-21 05:54 am (UTC)Definitely not until I've seen the latest season, but after that? Possibly.
In the meantime, there's always this one (http://stormmedicine.livejournal.com/951.html) I wrote in the midst of my Great Writerly Hiatus. Hurrah, nonlinear!

Date: 2008-04-22 02:13 pm (UTC)How about something with Ace and Jack? Flirts, insults, stuff blowing up? Martha or Donna could make a cameo and I would die of squee.
Lestrade hits on Charley; hilarity ensues when Eight gets jealous.
How about a little bit of a difference in your theme: Holmes wonders why Watson is always messing around with that damn fob watch.

Date: 2008-07-29 05:57 am (UTC)Wow, I hadn't expected anyone still remembered that fic. ;) Haven't updated since January, but the whole thing is hovering somewhere in my brain, just waiting to be, er, disgorged. You've encouraged me to sit down and plot the thing out, the better to finish it up! Though it may be a slow and meandering process, I will get the fic finished (sooner rather than later, I hope!).
(In the meantime, if you don't mind the utterly shameless self-pimping, I've got about a billion stories (http://eponymous-rose.livejournal.com/21929.html) up on this LJ that I haven't posted at Teaspoon. Yes, this is a diversionary tactic. Excuse me while I dash off to finish writing while your back is turned. *winks*)
Totally random note: Ainsley quote in your profile! Hurrah!

Date: 2008-08-25 07:48 pm (UTC)The gist of it is that after "Dreamland" Sarah pushed away Josh and Nat (from her investigations) for safety reasons - fitting in with early SJA where she's not wanting anyone else's life on the line. She and Josh were rescued by aliens, but Josh was unconscious and doesn't know that. Sarah claimed she lost consciousness, as well. Sarah may or may not still have social relationships with the two, but does not involve them in her work.
Would take place sometime during the Sarah Jane Adventures or shortly after "The Lost Boy." Josh absolutely does not know anything about aliens at the beginning of the story (excepting the prophecy stuff, which is a bit wonky).
Three major elements to the story:
1. Josh becomes suspicious that Sarah knows what happened on that spaceflight and is keeping secrets from him/lying to him. Tying this into his beliefs about the prophecy would be great. He suspicions could arise directly after the flight or only be happening now. But it causes tension and perhaps some distrust.
2. Sarah is not at all certain she would continue to work with Josh, even without fears for his safety (she kind of doesn't have that excuse anymore, with the kids involved) because of a strong distaste for his methods, and because she's not sure if she can trust him (due to the previous lies).
3. Josh finds out the truth about the prophecy and how it came to exist and must deal with what that means - how it affects his beliefs, his views of his actions, etc.
I prefer no Sarah Jane/Josh shipping. Heck, I don't even like Josh that much (the second and third big lies really bug me). But there's lots of interesting ways for his character to go, given the circumstances, and I'd just enjoy seeing some of them explored.

Date: 2008-10-26 12:19 am (UTC)I feel like a total dork for asking, but I would love to see what you could do with an MfU/DW-with-Three-and-Jo crossover. Even if you were only inclined to write a fairly short scene, that would still be fantastic.
