Iconification meme of sorts
Mar. 3rd, 2008 07:30 pmReally, it's a picspam in the guise of a meme, because I need a little time-out. A picspam of loooove!
If you have an excessive number of icons for any fandom(s), without cheating, try to put them into order based on the show's chronology. Reminisce! Wax nostalgic! Get embarrassed when people point out your mistakes! Figure out what biases (and gaps) there are in your collection!
First Doctor

First-ever Doctor Who episode! "An Unearthly Child". You show that quadratic formula who's boss, Susan!

Haven't a clue! This would be the definition of a catch-phrase.

Hah, "Marco Polo"! Got one. Ian/Barbara FTW!

"The Space Museum". Ian/cardigan FTW!

Ian rocks out to the Beatles in "The Chase"! Ian/Beatles FTW!

Steven, Vicki, and the First Doctor = awesome. "The Time Meddler"?
Second Doctor

I should know this one, I really should. I need to rewatch Two.

Again, dunno. I'm made of fail on these!

"The Mind Robber"! Really, it's not a joke. And it is just that awesome.

Haven't seen recently enough to pinpoint it exactly! Somewhere between series four and six. ;)
Third Doctor

This is early!Brig - so probably series seven. Probably "Spearhead from Space", actually.

Liz doing SKIENCE means it's likely "Spearhead from Space". (Or possibly "Ambassadors of Death"?)

It looks like a publicity shot, but it's really just the Doctor latching onto random pillars as he so often does. Sometime in early series seven - "The Silurians"?

I wonder which series it could possibly be? Hee. Probably... "The Ambassadors of Death"?

Seventh series, certainly - for some reason, I keep thinking "Inferno".

I really don't remember when, precisely, but I have a vague impression of "The Mind of Evil" - series eight?

Y HALO THAR security camera! That's "Mind of Evil", for sure.

Series eight? The Doctor glaring at the Master in a TARDIS suggests... "Colony in Space"?

Not a clue, but it's hilarious. Oh, Jo.

Dunno when, but it's somewhere in there. Series... nine?

Looks kinda "Curse of Peladon"y?

Wait, that's the Doctor's timey-wimey detector-type thing, isn't it? That was... "The Sea Devils"? No. The one with nekkid!Benton. "The Time Monster"!

Argh, I can't remember. He tries to sneak off in the TARDIS, gets annoyed, storms out and kicks it, hurts his foot, and says that to... to Jo, I'm pretty sure. So probably series nine?

This is Three-era Sarah, so series eleven! Probably "The Time Monster".
Fourth Doctor

Publicity photo of some sort? Pre-series 18, anyway.

Another publicity photo, for series 12, I'm assuming!

Judging by Sarah's outfit, I'm gonna say "The Ark in Space".

"Genesis of the Daleks". UNEXPECTED SLASH!

Again, "Genesis of the Daleks"! I have a lot of icons from this period - may just possibly have something to do with The Deepsky Atlas, hee.

Gratuitous Sarah/Harry in a cavern icon. "Revenge of the Cybermen"?

That looks a lot like series 12 Sarah. Astonished!Sarah doesn't really narrow it down. I feel like I should recognise her outfit, though!

Four and Harry on a boat kinda thing - that'd be the one with the Loch Ness Monster. Argh. What was it? Some random name. "Terror of the Zygons"!

More "Terror of the Zygons"! Aww, Harry.

I think this one's "Terror of the Zygons", too. And I think Four's about to discover a secret passage?

Doesn't he look, er, distinguished? Hee. I'm not sure when this is from, actually - I kept thinking it was "The Talons of Weng-Chiang", but he was rocking the deerstalker then.

Hooray, Leela! Series 15, then?

Doctor and Romana looking spiffy in... "The Ribos Operation"?

Romana wearing a silly hat, just for a change! It's "The Androids of Tara".

From... "The Armageddon Factor"? (Best old-school title evar Y/Y?) Yes, it was - Drax is all "who's a nice tin doggie, then?" And K-9 is snarky. Awesome.

Awesome scene in "The Armageddon Factor", in which the Doctor contemplates absolute power. Four seems to get that a lot.

Looks like publicity for series 17! Also, it's silly and I like it.

Romana dressed as the Doctor is "Destiny of the Daleks"! Best part of an otherwise silly regeneration scene.

Three guesses - it's Four and Romana running around Paris! "City of Death".
Fifth Doctor

I can't actually remember which Doctor said this, and in which Big Finish play. Any help?

Prettiest publicity shot, probably for "Castrovalva", right?
Sixth Doctor

Heee! From the Big Finish play "The One Doctor", which I love to death.

Big Finish again: "The Holy Terror"! I don't get nearly enough chances to use this one.

From the Big Finish play "Doctor Who and the Pirates"! Arrr.

From the Big Finish play "100: My Own Private Wolfgang". Mozart says it, which makes it still more bizarre. And awesome.

Early-ish? I'm really not sure.

"The Mysterious Planet", I think? Argh. I remember it very clearly, because it really did succeed in weirding me out. Things that are disproportionately large in the sky freak me out like nobody's business. I used to have nightmares about the moon. Brr.

I haven't actually seen this serial - I just liked the blue. Which is it?

Sometime in the Trial, I think?
Seventh Doctor

Series 25 Mastermind!Seven, I'm guessing.

"Remembrance of the Daleks", yes? The Doctor ranting at Davros? I will feel silly if I get it wrong.

Not sure when! Looks like series 26 Ace.

Again, only narrowing it down to series. Seven being snarky - series 26?

"Survival". Insert sniffling here.
Eighth Doctor

Big Finish audio companion Charley!

Well, um, the movie. Pretty!
Ninth Doctor

"Rose"! Silly Nine.

From "The Empty Child", which would be the episode that got me well and truly hooked. (I lie. I was hooked from the start.)

I think this is around the cliffhanger for "The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances"!

I feel like I should know which episode it's from, but I can't remember! Early on?

Looks like... looks like "Parting of the Ways"? More sniffles, then.
Tenth Doctor

I think it's canon. Any dissenters?

Tooth and Claw, I think? I love TARDIS icons.

This is from "The Impossible Planet", I believe. I have lots of cheerful icons!

Ah, heck. Sometime in the second series (possibly lateish?), but I'm not sure when.

"Doooomsday" icon, because, yes. It's pretty!

Ooh, "The Runaway Bride"!

Publicity shots for series three, I'm assuming? Shiny.

Not entirely sure when, but it's certainly a pretty icon.

Again, not sure but certainly pretty!

From "Family of Blood"! My most-used icon. Because it are fact, man. It are.

From the "Family of Blood/Human Nature" two-parter. Was it in the first or the second part? Dunno. All-purpose timey-type icon.

Given the lighting, I think it's from "Utopia" and not "Human Nature". I can't remember! But I do get all shivery looking at it.

Sometime in "Last of the Time Lords", must be!
...that was a bit of a frightening eye-opener. But fun! I think I'm developing encyclopaedic knowledge. Again. :D

Date: 2008-03-04 04:57 am (UTC)I think the third and fifth Third Doctor icons are from "Spearhead from Space"? I distinctly remember some pillar-latching in that serial, but it might not have been that exact shot...
Am pretty sure that ZOMG!Sarah is from "Genesis of the Daleks", right after the Doctor emerges from the Dalek incubator being throttled by a small green slimy thing.
Your encyclopedic knowledge is impressive, as is your icon collection. :D

Date: 2008-03-10 06:00 am (UTC)And "Genesis of the Daleks"! Of course!
