Really, it's a picspam in the guise of a meme, because I need a little time-out. A picspam of loooove!

If you have an excessive number of icons for any fandom(s), without cheating, try to put them into order based on the show's chronology. Reminisce! Wax nostalgic! Get embarrassed when people point out your mistakes! Figure out what biases (and gaps) there are in your collection!

( Three guesses which fandom fills my icons! Figuring out all my Doctor Who stuff is gonna be hard. )

...that was a bit of a frightening eye-opener. But fun! I think I'm developing encyclopaedic knowledge. Again. :D

Finally got around to installing and messing around with The Gimp, which is just fantastic.

Unfortunately, I have forgotten absolutely everything I ever learned about graphics stuff, which makes me feel downright pathetic.  So I decided to pull up a picture I saved a long time ago and try to remember how to make it a bit less blah in terms of colouring.

Fifteen minutes later, this is the progression I've made:

So... yeah.  It was frustrating and all that, but it was fun.  The Gimp is basically identical to Photoshop, so all the layers and curves and such work in very similar ways.  And the Gimp is free! 

So I'm gonna be doing a bit of this, too.  Whee!
