Doctor Who | Mirrors
Jan. 19th, 2008 11:59 pmTitle: Mirrors
Author:
eponymous_rose
Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Characters: Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Third Doctor
Author's Note: Set immediately prior to Inferno.
"Look, the trouble with you, Brigadier," the Doctor says, squinting at the switches and lights of the great lump of metal he's fished from the inside of the police box, "is that you have this dreadful tendency to ignore what's right in front of your face."
The Brigadier sighs, taps his swagger stick against the lab bench, and watches the Doctor, bent over the controls and bits and pieces of some alien technology. The machine, whatever it may be, is utterly silent. Dead, and yet the Doctor keeps tinkering.
"You don't see it either, Doctor," the Brigadier says, and leaves.
