LJ... whut?

For some reason, I can't seem to access my own LJ - anything beginning with "http://eponymous_rose.livejournal.com" is being very cheerfully nonfunctional, while everything else seems to be working fine.

If you see this pop up on your f-list, can you let me know if can access my actual LJ? This is very confusing.

I think your problem is the link you're typing in. Change the underscore in your username to a hyphen (http://eponymous-rose.livejournal.com/113349.html) and it should be fine.

Well, it's fixed itself by now, anyway!

I've always found the hyphen and underscore to be interchangeable in LJ URLs - wonder why that is? *ponders*

I get this happening all the time- not just with my LJ but with other people's too. Every so often when I click to access someone's LJ I'll get the error message and nothing I try (save closing the window and waiting about 5minutes) will let me access it.

:S hate to say it, but I'm kind of glad to know it's not just me it's been happening with! lol.

Does the problem still exist? I can access your LJ without problems.

LJ has been extremely wonky the last few weeks, though. At one time, it first told me 'no such entry' as I tried to access one of my older posts, and wouldn't give it to me before I reloaded a couple of times, then, as I tried to post, it told me my journal is in read-only mode and I should try later, and after that, it refused me access to my LJ alltogether. I was seething by then end of all that.

Anyway, long story short, the problem will probably fix itself, if it hasn't already. However, backing up your journal is probably not a bad idea. I for my part don't really trust LJ anymore in that respect.

I'm not even sure how to go about backing up my journal, actually. But now I'm curious, as I'm all about the backing up of assorted stuff!
