The Best Way to Cure Grumpiness
Aug. 8th, 2007 09:12 pmUm. I went over to YouTube and decided to pick a fight. Over Paul McGann. Whee! :D I love YouTube comments. They generally make so very little sense; it's too easy to poke holes in 'em. (C'mon - he was saying very authoritatively that McGann hated the role of the Doctor and that's why he "didn't do anything" after the movie. I guess the... what? sixty-plus hours of audios (eight years with Big Finish alone!) doesn't count, then? Poor Big Finish. Poor McGann. So I came to the rescue! Heehee. At least I stopped short of correcting his spelling.)
And then I'm going to be a total sucker for punishment and watch the TVM again. *hangs head* And I know I'll get the giggles at all the wrong moments and have to keep my canon-blinders on so as not to burn out my brain, but it'll be worth it.
And then then I'm going to go to bed early. Because, while my Friday exam is at a fairly reasonable 9:30 AM, I'd forgotten that it was on the other side of town and that I need to take a (wholly unreliable) taxi. So I've gotta be waiting outside half a block away at 8 AM, because my condo has the dubious superpower of being totally inaccessible to taxis, facing as it does onto six lanes of traffic (I imagine this would only be useful if taxis were evil and out to get me... which I have to admit is fairly likely at this rate). Since I've been waking up around 10 lately, tonight will be my acclimatisation period. Or something. If I can roll out of bed by 7:30 tomorrow morning, I should be all right for Friday; I adjust quickly.
On a totally unrelated note, my hair's getting longer (first time it's come near touching my shoulders in about ten years) and starting to go all wavy and vaguely curly. Neat! The sun's bleached it a bit reddish, too, which is always fun. :D
I can't count the number of times today I've looked at the bit of string tied around my finger and wondered what the heck it was for.
Oh, right! Music meme! I'll do that on Friday. Or possibly tomorrow, if I'm in a procrastinatory mood.

Date: 2007-08-09 04:06 am (UTC)I just skimmed an awesome (and very long) article all about Eight that planted the mental image of McGann doing the whole Eccleston look - hair and jacket. That would've been very, very interesting!

Date: 2007-08-09 04:53 am (UTC)And the TVM is amazing. Possibly for all of the wrong reasons, but that doesn't make it any less amazing, dammit. *nod*
Good luck on that test, by the by! I might have said something similar before, but I could have also forgotten and, knowing me, the latter is far more likely.
So good luck! *gives jelly beans* For strength. *nodnod*

Date: 2007-08-09 02:19 pm (UTC)So I stopped watching and listened to the first episode of "Storm Warning" instead. :D And there was much sporfling at the Eight-talking-to-himself scenes. I get the giggles every time he does the "Get away from there, you vultures!" thing to the Vortisaurs at the start, because he's really just yelling at the scanner, and that makes me picture him shouting at the screen at a movie theatre. Which, y'know, I wouldn't put past him. Heehee.
And thank you for the well-wishes in terms of examliness! :D One more day of review, and then it's over! Feeling much better about it, too.
*scarfs jelly beans of STRENGTH*
