DS9 Fic Prompts, pls?

I've got this urge to write lots and lots of ficlets for DS9, so I thought I'd start by asking you folks for suggestions! Otherwise you might get something concocted from my very own imagination, and that could be scary. I also seem to only have ideas suitable for fics of 20,000 words or more lately, so something shorter would be a relief.

Can't promise to write all of them, but I can promise to write some. Any part of TV canon is A-OK, crossovers with other shows are excellent, Trek or not (keep in mind that my Voyager knowledge is extremely limited at the moment, and I know nothing of Enterprise), and the post-series books are also fair game, though I'm only up to the start of the Mission Gamma books thus far, so please, no spoilers beyond that. I know a bunch of my flist are watching for the first time, so if you don't want spoilers past a certain point, let me know! (And be careful in the comments here.)

So... yes! Prompt me! A couple of characters, a word, a phrase, a bit of poetry, whatever you like, and however many you like. Keep in mind that I'm not likely to write anything rated above PG-13, and gen prompts are more likely to grab my attention than those with pairings.

Jake, during the s6 opening arc. I know there was a lot else going on, but I'd have appreciated some more of his situation (or the fact the Dominion & Dukat really did let him run around free instead of trying to use the Emissary's son). Extra bonus if you can work in a conversation with Quark about missing Nog and/or being worried about him.

I totally second this prompt! Jake needs more love. He's a writer himself--I'd love to see fanfic writers work his stories into their own stories. I think it'd be fascinating.

I have barely any familiarity with anything Star Trek post-TOS at all (seriously, I'm like "DS9 is the one with the space station that doesn't boldly go anywhere and the shapeshifter who sleeps in a bucket, right?"), so if you might pretty-please cross it with any of my particular fandoms - SG-1, UNCLE, Three-era Who, S&S, or of course the muchly underrepresented Legend (although the crackiness involved in that one might begin to swallow the universe) - it would be a good way to sneakily introduce me to the characters and stuff.

Gen's fine and I rather prefer being spoiled for major plot twists in advance. Do you want a specific prompt beyond the crossover, "introduce me to the fandom" thing?

Okay, if I haven't actually watched DS9 but have a huge crush on Siddig el Fadil, would it be wrong to ask for some Bashir/TOS crossover in some capacity?
