Um.  I've just realized that I don't have the faintest idea how to mail a letter.  And that my scholarship application has to get somewhere much quicker than it's probably able to do.

Also that I haven't really started studying yet for the music history exam that's less than a week away.  I glanced at a practice test - based on what I know now, we're talking marks in the 5-10% range.  Woo!

Also also that I still need to do the big online scholarship application thing.

Also also also that my library books are becoming perilously close to overdue.

MAH BRAINS!

On the plus side, once the tenth rolls around I will be remarkably cheerful and all kinds of geeky.  Last week of work, roommates on holidays, test out of the way and deadlines all past.  And then!  Trip to the States.

Apolologies if I disappear for a bit, all.  Got to sort this stuff out before it eats me!

INCREASE THE FLASH GORDON NOISE AND PUT MORE SCIENCE STUFF AROUND!

*picks up splatted pieces of brain and hands to Kagen*

Letters are complicated, tests are bothersome, scholarships hurt my head, and an overdue library book is a fate worse than death.

*gives cookies of fortitude and strength*

Good luck, deary! Sally forth and conquer your foes! *waves pompoms*

*ish fortituded and stronger as result of cookie consumption*

Huzzah! I actually managed to banish three of those worries this morning, and then spent an uninterrupted four hours reading about sacred and secular vocal music of the Medieval and Renaissance. SO BRAINS NO LONGER SPLODEY! (Well, unless you ask me to actually remember the main proponents of the Notre Dame or Franco-Flemish schools of whatever-it-was.)

As a reward, I made a splendiferous online purchase and bought myself two chocolate bars and a bag of chips. I don't think I can afford to be accomplished too often. *grins*

Memory is overrated anyway. This way everything can always be NEW and EXCITING and SHINY. Just explain that to your instructor and I'm sure they'll understand. *nodnod* After all, who can resist the shiny?

Yay for the non slodey!

And I don't believe there's a better reward than chocolate... Well, unless it's free chocolate. (Accomplishment is annoyingly expensive like that. *sympathy wince*)
