Yet another Dreamwidth post

I'm eponymous_rose over there, being the font of originality that I am. Nothing to see yet, but it'd be nice to connect with those of you who've wandered over there!

Anyway, standard disclaimer applies: not planning on leaving LJ, will be cross-posting, so you won't exactly be missing out if you don't have an account, etc. etc. etc. I don't have any invite codes to offer, but keep an eye on your flists, since lots of people have been handing them out lately. :D

Did you buy an account, or did you get an invite? Rumor had it that as long as you had an openID account, you'd be getting an invite as soon as DW went live, but I have not received an invite so far. :|

I think they're a bit overwhelmed in terms of demand right now - as far as I know, nobody's received the OpenID invites just yet. I went ahead and shelled out the three dollars. ;)

It's the Spiffy New Thing that's been around lately, and I figure I might as well try bandwagon-jumping for a change. ;) A few links hereabouts give some of the pros. (http://wiki.dwscoalition.org/notes/Why_Dreamwidth)

Yeah, I've been seeing it everywhere. Seems cool, but I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle of trying to move everything over there. And, of course, there's the whole "this-is-new-LJ-is-established" thing. Spiffy, though.
