TARDIS Team V1.0 Picspam!
Jan. 31st, 2009 06:55 pmI should be posting a ficlet later on as well, but, um, I just went over and watched
calapine's Welcome to the Black Parade fanvid, and I figured this is a perfect time to share some totally random pictures I've amassed from the Tragical History Tour archive. Features the Doctor! Barbara! Ian! Susan! Daleks! And also other things that are excellent!

I adore the random things in the First Doctor's TARDIS - like the junkyard kind of wandered in and made itself at home (I think this picture actually is from the junkyard, but whatever) - and, really, they both just seem wonderfully alien in this picture. I love Susan's hat!

...not exactly the most flattering picture of poor Ian, but it cracks me up.

Okay, fine. Here he is doing SKIENCE.

Yes. SKIENCE.

Barbara/books OTP!

(Sorry, Ian.)

"Chemistry", of course, being the operative word.

"Did you two just to follow me home in a way that is somewhat creepy but succeeded in advancing the plot so that the show will continue well into the twenty-first century?"
"Why, no, Susan. Whyever would you think that?"

"Now, go say hello to the nice Dalek, Susan."

I just like the stylish holes in the side of this guy's shiny, shiny trousers.

The Earth invasion of Daleks?

PRAC-TISE YOUR PEN-MAN-SHIP! PRAC-TISE!

Ian has a doohickey. That's right, a thingummy. And he's proud of it.

Hey, we're in colour!

Susan's expression totally cracks me up.

They are adorable.

Barbara!

I love how wonderfully surreal the TARDIS looks when it's before its time.

About half of these early pictures feature one or more of the companions staring at the Doctor in horror.

A deep-sea diver appears to have evaporated! But wait! Is that the only possible explanation?

OM NOM NOM

I don't know why I love this picture so much.

Doctor Who really is an educational programme! See? I have learned that if your hat is pimpin' enough, you can get away with anything.

The original; the genuine article.

I have no idea what you're talking about, so here's a picture of Ian in a giant matchbox.

Should've taken that left turn at Albuquerque.

Dalek vacation photos!

WHERE ARE THE COM-MEM-MOR-AT-IVE SOU-VEN-IRS?

LOOK A RED DOU-BLE DEC-KER BUS LIKE ON THE TEL-LY!

SMALL CHILD WILL YOU FLEE IN TER-ROR WHILE WE TAKE A PIC-TURE?

HI MOM!

Having had a wonderful stay in London, our friends are crushed by the sudden and devastating realization that a high-five might be a little tricky.

That's a target market for you!

Aw man, Giant Ant was totally gonna read that first!

You'd darn well better veto those elephants.

And on that profound note, I'll leave you where it all began. Hope you enjoyed!

Glad you liked it!

Ooh, you should! I found that they dragged a bit early on (though I maintain that the first episode of "An Unearthly Child" is one of the best bits of Who), and "The Daleks" in particular took me about two months to get through, since I kept getting distracted, but it's well worth persisting, because in no time flat, I was able to sit through even the reconstructed episodes without fidgeting. It's really the Ian-and-Barbara show for the first couple seasons, which is neat - the Doctor's so much more of a vague, menacing figure. Definitely interesting, and highly recommended! :D
Glad you enjoyed the picspam!

THIS IS TRUFAX. I was just watching Cyrano, and he totally says just about the same thing. That hat was almost as fierce as the Doctor's. Almost. :3

And that's the reason the Daleks hate the Doctor so much! He keeps ruining their holidays! The Oncoming Storm = bad weather.
