First, the [livejournal.com profile] livelongnmarry news! You guys, [livejournal.com profile] rosa_acicularis has a post here, offering up fanfic. I make special note of this because she's the one who wrote the awesome remix for [livejournal.com profile] netgirl_y2k's super-awesome "The Boy Who Killed Time", and I know lots of you are fans. GO BID.

My fic is going for $25 at present (you're amazing, [livejournal.com profile] livii!) and there have been bids on all five of my Neopets lots here (gold stars to [livejournal.com profile] mimiheart, [livejournal.com profile] misura, and especially to [livejournal.com profile] settiai!). That's $100 raised so far! I really do encourage you guys to offer up your services, or bid, or both! There's some truly amazing stuff up there.

In other fannish news, [livejournal.com profile] tardis_view has reached 65 members! Everyone seems extremely nice, and I really am looking forward to giving folks a tour of my city. Half the fun is looking at your own home in a different light, seeing all the little things you'd love to show off. Thanks to everyone who joined, and everyone who pimped it out! Looks like it could definitely be a success.

And now, a meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] jb_wolfsies. I can't promise an answer to all of the questions, but I'll do my best!

Pick a fandom (or two) and I'll tell you:

1. The first character I fell in love with.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates.
5. The character I used to love but don't any longer.
6. The character I would shag anytime.
7. The character I'd want to be like.
8. The character I'd slap.
9. A pairing that I love.
10. A pairing that I hate.

Edit: Because a list of my fandoms might help: Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, The Avengers, Dead Like Me, Jeeves and Wooster, Man from UNCLE, Sapphire and Steel, Sarah Jane Adventures, The Prisoner, Twin Peaks, X-Files, The West Wing, House, Danger Man, etc. etc. etc.

I know someone else will ask Doctor Who, so I'll be different and go SJA.

(and if no one else asks it, X-files?)

I shall be so very unpredictable and pick The West Wing.

SJA:

1. Well, technically? Sarah Jane, yo. It's very hard not to fall in love with Sarah Jane! That was in Doctor Who, though - watching SJA, it was Maria. She's just made of awesome! (Okay, okay, and Maria's dad.)

2. Pretty much all of 'em. I was wary of the whole teenagers-saving-the-universe thing, but they're all so awesome!

3. Love all the characters, so this doesn't much apply.

4. Hm. Kelsey? She seems to get on people's nerves.

5. Mr. Smith. *sniffles* How could you?

6. Y'know, I'm probably gonna be passing on this question quite a lot. *grins*

7. Sarah Jane! Come on, who doesn't want to be her?

8. Dunno. The Slitheen, maybe? Hee.

9. I will admit to having a soft spot for Sarah/Alan.

10. I'm fine with all the pairings, really! Maybe, like, K-9/Slitheen. That's just wrong.

X-Files:

1. Scully! It took me oh so long to warm up to Mulder.

2. Mulder, believe it or not. I don't know what rubbed me the wrong way about him at first, but whatever it is? It's gone.

3. Hm. Can't think of any! I think I like most of the characters in general. Of course, it's been a while since I watched the show.

4. Again, can't think of any. Oh! Some people don't like Doggett. I think he's awesome.

5. I dunno. I guess CSM/C.G.B. Spender lost a lot of his allure over time.

6. Again, pass. Hee.

7. Scully!

8. Mulder really needs it from time to time, I gotta say. ;)

9. Mulder/Scully's cute. Mulder/Krycek is self-destructive love. Skinner/anyone. As always, I like pretty much all pairings!

10. Er. Can't think of any. How about... Frohike/CSM? No, no, that's too awesome just on principle. Hm.

1. The Doctor. Ninth incarnation to be exact. Rose followed soon after, and then Jackie, and then Mickey, and soon it was just a massive love-fest.

2. Jo Grant! Silly fandom, knocking my expectations all awry.

3. Jack Harkness, yo. I like him well enough, but I just don't find him all that interesting. Sorry, Jack!

4. Hm. Probably one of the really unpopular characters, like Six or Peri or Mel.

5. Don't think I've fallen out of love with any of the characters?

6. Pass

7. The Doctor! Well, minus the whole genocide thing.

8. Jack, probably! Hee. He'd enjoy it, too.

9. Oh, you know me - always up to my ears in love for pairings. How about Three/Jo?

10. Not 'hate', exactly, but I have yet to find a Jack/anyone fic that grabs my interest at all. Heck, I have yet to find a genfic about Jack that grabs my interest at all. Heck, I have yet to find a genfic about Jack! (Exaggerated, though only slightly.)

Ooh, this is tricky - it's been a while since I watched!

1. Coop. Seriously, I was about seven, and my brother and I were watching from the hallway when we were supposed to be in bed, and I decided I wanted to dress up as him for Halloween (which, for me, was the greatest possible compliment). Plans kinda fell through, because I didn't want to admit to sneaking out to watch it! Hee.

2. Audrey Horne, maybe? She's grown on me.

3. I dunno about "love", but there are people out there who don't fast forward through every single one of James' scenes. I don't understand these people!

4. Hm. Can't think of any! I don't really know the fandom, quite honestly.

5. Again, can't think of any! Always hated James with a fiery burning passion. Was very amused when he turned up in a terrible video we watched in Health class. He was a rapist.

6. Pass

7. Coop! His little speech about giving yourself a little, unplanned present every day? I totally do that. I think I've stolen quite a lot of his personality, actually. Including the habit of saying "Oh-kay" like he does.

8. Jaaaaames.

9. Cooper/Truman is intriguing. Audrey/Cooper. Dunno, really!

10. James/anyone. Sorry, James.

Ooh, unpredictable!

1. C.J.! I maintain that she's quite possibly the most genuinely likeable person in any fandom. Second was Jed!

2. Okay, okay. CONFESSION TIME. The first time I watched TWW, I did not much like Josh. I have since seen the error of my ways (and how!). Really, it just took "Noel".

3. I don't really know the fandom - just basing this on my family's reactions, hee! And based on those reactions, I can't think of any!

4. I don't know if people like Amy Gardner? My family took an immediate dislike to her. I adore her. Also, I love Ainsley, but I think she gets a lot of love from fandom. I hope so, anyway!

5. Can't really think of any?

6. Pass

7. C.J.! Jed! One of the two. Geeky and pragmatic.

8. Dunno! Sometimes they all get a bit full of themselves. ;)

9. Josh/Donna, Jed/Abbey, Jed/Leo, Josh/Amy, etc. etc. etc. Again, not really part of the fandom, would have to read more!

10. Can't think of any. They've all got the potential for awesome!

*evil genius laugh*

1. House! I started off with "Damned if you Do" after hearing my parents squee about him all season. Super-awesome.

2. Amber! Amber, Amber, Amber.

3. Possibly Chase and Cameron? Just never found them very interesting. Also, Tritter, although I'm not sure if fandom's fixation with him is just based on the lulz.

4. Can't think of any!

5. Oh, they've all got their moments, but I'll forgive 'em!

6. Pass

7. Ooh, that's tricky. Lots of "but"s in there. Would like to be House, but not as nasty. Would like to be Wilson, but not as philandering. Would like to be Cuddy, but... actually, Cuddy would be kind of fun.

8. House! Come on. There are moments, buddy.

9. Hm. House/Wilson (I am so cliché that way), both in a platonic and a not-platonic sense, House/Cuddy, Wilson/Amber, etc. etc. etc.

10. None I really hate. (I once wrote Cameron/Wilson for a ficathon and was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out.) Anything could turn out well.

Hee, this is a bit tricky, since it's been a while since I read the books/watched the show! Will do my best.

1. Jeeves, followed almost immediately by Bertie.

2. Gussie, I think! Hee. Good old Fink-Nottle. Newts and all.

3. Don't really know the fandom apart from some Jeeves/Wooster, so. Dunno!

4. Again, this is a really hard question to answer when I don't actually know the fandom.

5. Don't think I ever became disillusioned with any of the characters! Good thing, too.

6. Pass

7. Jeeeeeves! Totally unflappable and capable of getting friends out of the strangest situations. Sounds good to me!

8. Aw, I wouldn't do a thing like that. Who wants to interrupt their wacky hijinks?

9. Jeeves/Wooster, but I'm open to pretty much any pairing in this fandom. They've all got the potential for hilarity, and I do approve of that.

10. See above!

Yay, new members! :D

1. Watson! I definitely fell for Watson long before anyone else.

2. *coughs* Holmes. I seem to have this thing with being a bit so-so when it comes to main characters. Obviously, this has changed since then!

3. Ah... Moriarty? I think I rambled about it on HN, but I really do have a bit of an issue with the whole Big Bad idea. That said, there is a heckuva lot of good stuff about him, so who knows?

4. There seems to be a fair bit of Irene Adler-hate, and I quite liked her. (SCAN was my first Holmes story, though, so that helped!)

5. Can't think of any at the moment!

6. Pass

7. Strange combination of Holmes's intuitiveness, Watson's literary awesomesauce, and Mrs. Hudson's infinite patience. ;)

8. Oh, Holmes deserves it more often than not. Hee!

9. Holmes/Watson is neat! I'll read anything in this fandom, though.

10. As above, pretty much anything can get done right in the right hands. Yes.

Hee, this is gonna be tricky, because there are so few characters!

1. Hmm... remembering back to watching with my parents, I think I had a thing for our Mr. Solo long before the bigger thing for Illya.

2. Waverly! Not that I ever expected to hate him or anything, but his awesomeness does sort of astound.

3. Can't think of any?

4. Hm. Well, fanfic sometimes paints Angélique in a pretty unflattering light. But then, the canon does likewise. Hee!

5. Can't think of any!

6. Pass

7. Well, it would be sort of fun to be a clever, adaptable, good-looking master of disguise, and a polyglot besides. ;)

8. Heehee. Very occasionally, Napoleon. Only if he deserves it, mind.

9. NS/IK! Actually, there isn't a whole lot else out there, but what I have seen is pretty awesome as well.

10. Can't think of any!

Oh, Audrey! I loved her like a crazy pre-teen stalker at the time. I wanted to be JUST LIKE HER. Dress like her, hair like her, the whole thing. I also was madly in love with her, but it was that weird mix of attraction and and idolization. Hmmm. Perhaps that's TMI. Anyway, I'm glad we can agree that James sucks ass. ;-)
