Bit of advice, please - how do people go about converting a billion MP3 tracks from an audiobook to a single M4A track on a Mac? I've tried about fifteen (seriously) different programs, all of which stop working at the critical stage, which is getting absolutely ridiculous. (The program Max, for instance, won't let me click the Setup Output Formats button. This is getting silly.)

And let's assume, for the sake of argument, that I can't use iTunes for this, because iTunes and I are Not Getting Along.

Thanks muchly - I got Hugh Laurie reading "Great Expectations" for Christmas and still haven't been able to listen to it, because iTunes won't let me import the .mp3 files.
