My keyboard is on fiiiire!
Mar. 17th, 2008 12:24 amYeah, that was typing 3000 words in the hour before deadline (writing at 50 wpm, ow brain), and that was not pretty. Silly self. I'm so glad I posted my fic for the day earlier, because I feel a wee bit incoherent.
(The only reason I can actually manage stuff like that is because I tend to write scenes up, word-for-word, in my head before I even start putting it on paper. Sitting in front of the computer and writing is like typing what somebody's reciting. Well. Like typing what somebody's reciting through a giant pool of molasses, or something, but the sentiment's there.)
I got 9,500 words written for my (amusingly rough) first draft of
tardis_bigbang, which is acceptable, and got the whole thing planned, which is Awesome. I've got a heckuva headache, but I am going to bed and getting almost eight hours of sleep, and that's marvellous. Phew.
(
mad_march_hare, in case I haven't told you lately, you are a star. If I mess up this plot, it'll be because I didn't listen to you enough. *winks*)
Also, I figured out who the bad guy/girl/entity is and kind of hate it. As in, really. I'll try to write my way out of it, because it turns the whole thing into Hardcore Victorian Horror instead of the Happy Steampunk Mystery Tiem thing I had going, but it is sort of smart and ties everything together way too well, including motive. Argh.
Hoo, I've missed writing Holmes 'n' Watson.
