"Shouldn't take us a second to sort this mess out," the Doctor says, picking his way through the stacks of toppled books. "Fixing those nasty temporal potholes we hit, though, that could take a bit more doing."

"Temporal potholes?" She hides a smile.

He shakes his head, waving The Venusian Cookbook Compilation at her for emphasis. "Terrible state of disrepair, the time corridors around here. I've been meaning to have a word-"

"I can never tell when you're joking," Martha says.

"Good!" The Doctor beams. "Wouldn't that be dull?"
