Remember when my 80-GB hard drive died suddenly with all my files still aboard? And remember how I promptly went into a cheerful sort of denial and stuffed it in a drawer?

Well, I've finally pulled it out and started doing some work on restoring the files - and it's working! It's actually working! So far I've recovered about 4GB (I have to do it a bit at a time, since that's all my main hard drive can handle), and I think I might actually have enough blank DVDs lying around to store as much as I can get. Hooray!

Victory is mine! Um. Sort of.
