Haiti Earthquake - What you can do.

Three million people have been injured, and hundreds of thousands killed, in an earthquake in Haiti.

This is a signal boost: help_haiti is a fannish endeavour to raise some money to help with rescues, recovery, and rebuilding - there will be a fannish auction. Even if you can't donate at this time, you can still offer your services up for auction - offer to write fic or draw fanart.

If you're in the States, here's a very easy way to donate $10: text "HAITI" to 90999. The $10 will be automatically charged to your next cellphone bill.

Haven't you always wanted to get me to do write according to your nefarious bidding? Now you can, thanks to a different kind of nefarious bidding! It's starting at $5 whoop, $6! - leave a comment with your bid, and whoever has the highest bid in the end gets the fic of their dreams. The only requirement is that it's below NC-17, because trust me, if you want PWP, there are many, many people out there who'll write it a billion times better than me.

Fandoms I've listed are: Doctor Who (all eras), Stargate SG-1, Star Trek (TOS and AOS), Danger Man, Man from U.N.C.L.E., M*A*S*H, Sapphire and Steel, Sherlock Holmes (new movie or original books), Legend (1995 TV series), MacGyver, The Avengers, The Middleman - for any other fandoms, PM me to check before bidding! You can also feel free to request a crossover with any (or all!) of the above.

If you're hesitant about donating, here's how it goes: you get a list of organizations to choose from, you pick the one you want, you make the donation yourself at the organization's website via PayPal or credit card, and you forward the confirmation e-mail (or a screencap) to me as proof. That's it! So give it a shot - it's for a good cause.

help_haiti Fic Auction Masterlist

Okay, so I like making lists. Because the comment format can be a little unwieldy, I'll be trying desperately to link as much as I can for the help_haiti auction, by fandom, so you can track down what you'd like to request. I make no guarantees that I'll be able to keep this updated, but it's a starting point, right? I'm starting with fic because, well, it's the biggest and unwieldiest section. We'll see how this goes.

Note the first: I'm not affiliated with the mod(s) of help_haiti - I just want to see them do extremely well. :) All mistakes and whatnot are entirely my fault. I'm none too familiar with bandom/RPF, so if I've mucked those sections up, let me know! Likewise, if you spot an error, please point it out, and I promise I'll be appropriately shamed and fix it as soon as possible.
