Tornado Time!
Jun. 5th, 2007 06:51 pmWoah. Had a spectacularly long meeting at work today and came out to find the sky a'thundering and the radar echoes going nuts. So I did what any self-respecting meteorologist would do - squeed and walked home in the rain.
Wasn't until I got home that I realized there had been a tornado a few miles out of town. Minor one, nobody hurt - some hail and wind damage. In other words, absolutely ideal for our latest set of studies. Things are going to be nuts at work tomorrow while we scramble to get everything off the web before it gets overwritten! Huzzah! :D (Looked like walnut-sized hail on the news, so I might be able to use this as a test case for a colleague's model...)
