Author:
eponymous_rose
Word Count: 150
Rating: G
Characters: Vicki, First Doctor
It takes Vicki some time to realise what's so strange about the TARDIS - disregarding the fact that it's entirely impossible, of course, but she's nearly used to that by now.
No, the one thing that stands out to her eyes is the console.
Vicki has been in spaceships before - she tries not too think too hard about what each one has meant, to keep moving forward - and in each case the controls have been up against a wall somewhere, out of the way.
But this console is in the middle of the room - when she'd first stepped in, she'd thought of the Ancients, of Shakespeare's time with stages open on all sides, more accessible to the masses, more of a challenge to the players and the playwright.
In the midst of the spacious room it's a single pillar of stability, and he orbits around it, drawing them into his wake.
