Um. Yeah, okay. McGann was excellent, of course (hopping around in his widdle shoes!), but, um. I can't really say much else. I'll stick to the audios (and the books!), kthx.
I almost got trapped in an elevator yesterday! I exclaim this because I technically wasn't supposed to be in the building in the first place (when they close up the building, they don't check the little hideaway practice rooms to make sure there's nobody still there), and if the elevator really had stopped (instead of bobbing up and down in the throes of indecision for a good minute before plunging down to the first floor with alarming speed and bouncing when it hit the bottom), I probably would've been stuck for a while. As it was, I just got a little nauseous and shaky and resolved to take the stairs next time. Well, maybe. It was sort of fun.
I still have no music, folks! Recommendations?
It's been pouring rain today, which makes me happy because I actually remembered my umbrella. Also: because I'm a weather geek. Yay!
...wait. It's sunny outside now. It was pouring twenty minutes ago. Neat!
I'm still doing the way-too-much-energy thing (I submit my wonderfully organized thoughts above as evidence), but I expect it'll wear off, oh, about three minutes before fencing starts tomorrow. It's potential energy - don't make me do anything with it!
My shelf of the fridge is almost empty. I should buy groceries, shouldn't I?

Date: 2007-06-19 12:54 am (UTC)Regarding the movie, it's so bad it's hilarious. Paul McGann got gypped so very, very badly. *clings to Eight* Poor widdle Paul, in a costume he hated and a horrible wig, having to act alongside all these sucky people... at least he actually got to kiss someone.
American producers are never to be let near Doctor Who again Y|Y.

Date: 2007-06-19 01:17 am (UTC)Oh, right! You won't have heard of my most recent and terrible tragedy! My poor little iPod kicked the bucket recently - that is to say, I got so fed up with trying to fix one song that I just wiped the whole thing's memory, all 1,000 songs. Moral of the story: there is a very good reason why I'm not in tech support. *nodnod*
No, wait! Real moral of the story: I'm without music and looking for any and all recommendations. I like absolutely any kind of music (my previous playlist had a Beethoven sonata alongside a techno remix of a particularly amusing line uttered during a 1950s B-movie). Music = yay. So any help would make me eternally grateful!
I'm gonna go listen to more Big Finish in hopes of erasing all memory of the catastrophe that was the TVM. *shudders*

Date: 2007-06-19 08:08 am (UTC)Thus do I give unto thee music! Or, you know. A random bunch of songs that are pretty strange, especially when thrown together. So, to correct myself, thus do I give unto thee A Random Bunch of Songs.
Oh, and "Flagpole Sitta" is *so* our theme song. Well, mostly anyway. The random and crazy stuff. *nodnod*

Date: 2007-06-21 04:07 am (UTC)Today's musical group up for presentation is Stars.
What do you need to know about Stars? Simply put, they are brillig, brillig, brillig. The perfect mix of electronica and rock with just a touch of the classical, as only an indie group can deliver. You just know a band is special when you can listen to an entire album without skipping tracks.
Personal faves:
This Charming Man, On Peak Hill, and Tru - (From the album Nightsongs)
What the Snowman Learned, Elevator Love Letter, and The Vanishing - (From the album Heart)
Your Ex Lover is Dead, One More Night, and Soft Revolution - (From the album Set Yourself on Fire)
Thar she blows.
