A general amnesty. A victory parade.

This, then, a glimpse of a world without the threat of Daleks, of mechanical extermination, systematised hatred of the unlike. One of the Thals takes his hand, shakes it as he passes; the Doctor smiles, because he's just wandering, really, strolling through corridors, no longer a prisoner. Travelling where he chooses.

The Kaleds have been destroyed, only their extrapolated mutation remaining - a race living on through a hypothetical future.

And the Doctor thinks of Harry and Sarah, and the burning, and might-have-beens; the price of victory, too high for morality to fathom.

Oooh, intriguing! I'm always impressed by how you can take such brief moments, moments that might just pass the reader by, and weave them back into the greater Story Thus Far. Nice work!
