It was actually a bit of an old!school reference, if anything, to the Ribos Operation. *blinks* I knew that. XD (Not the episode per se, but I've seen it floating around in other fics before.) Wouldn't be surprised myself if DD was referring to that in SYWTBAW.
I have to say, your Matt Timms reminds me a little of Lawrence from "Blink". XD This chapter almost stands on its own as a fic, with the different POV and all.
“Oh, and here I thought you were just being clever and deducing my species all on your own. You cheated! You were just trying to analyse my blood when you cut me before.” Clever. XD
*blinks* I just finished rereading the chapter again. Forgot to keep commenting. Heh. At this point, I'll just keep nodding at everyone else's compliments and wait impatiently for the next chapter.
