It's always mind control, isn't it?

So. Nightmares.

Something to do with glowy faces and low-flying helicopters and doorbells. Whatever it was, it ended with my waking myself (and my roommate *winces*) an hour early by yelling: "Give us the owls! Give us the owls!"

And then, after getting back to sleep (ish) and waking up at a more reasonable time, I go to watch a totally random, never-before-seen Avengers episode before breakfast.

And the episode? Is "Too Many Christmas Trees", featuring Steed going progressively insane due to mind-controlly nightmares. Heehee!

So, y'know, if I start loudly singing songs and obsessing over socks and Santa Claus and handing out pens with tear gas, that's probably why.

(Best possible microcosm of The Avengers: Steed and Emma discussing a murder case, all serious-like. Perfectly normal dialogue. But, for no apparent reason, Emma is sitting on the couch, playing a freakin' huge tuba, and Steed's standing on tables shooting golf balls all over the place. No wonder I love this show!)

Also: the response on my request for fic-related assistance? Absolutely overwhelming. You guys rock!

1. your icon is adorkable!!!

2. I had a friend wake us up one night shouting "It's the attack of the killer ham!!!" and "No more sausage!!!" so in comparison your dream sounds completely normal. XD

1. Yay thank you! Yours is also all kinds of awesome. :D

2. Heehee - killer ham? Sausage? Your friend wouldn't happen to be a vegetarian? ;) I never talk in my sleep! My brother and Dad both sleepwalk in a big way, and I had a friend who would always shout "Don't eat it!" and maintained she had recurring McDonalds-related nightmares. Weird stuff!

Tubas and golf balls... is this show on DVD in the States? Because I think I might finally have to watch it.

(Eventually. Right now I'm trying to watch Star Trek: TNG and Legend at the same time, which is giving my crossover-obsessed brain the most ridiculous ideas!)
